Call for votes in P1647 eWG election

Dear colleagues,

Nominations have now closed for officers of the IEEE P1647 eWG. This is a
call for votes for elections of Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary. For
information about the election process, please see the WG Operating
Procedures at http://www.ieee1647.org/bylaws.html. Though there is only one
nominee for each position, IEEE rules allow for write-in candidates. Hence,
we still need to conduct an election.

As specified in the procedures:

Voting shall be by "approval", whereby each balloter may cast an
approval
vote for each of any number of nominees for an office. The nominee with
the greatest number of approval votes shall win the election. Write-in
candidates are permitted as specified in the IEEE Bylaws.

In the event of a tie, the Returning Officer shall decide between the
tied
candidates by picking a candidate's name from a hat.

Would eWG members please vote by completing the form below and returning to
me by reply email by 5:00pm US-PDT, Monday 11 December. I will verify each
voter's membership with the published WG roster at www.ieee1647.org and
acknowledge receipt.

Thanks, and regards,

Peter Ashenden
