Meeting 29 Minutes

1. Call to order at 9 am PDT
* A quorum of three out of four voting members present.  Four non-voting
    members are also present.  Attendance and voter status indicated on
    the roster web page.
* Andrew reminded members to mail a message to "rollcall@ieee1647.org"
  in order to record their meeting attendance.

2. Approval of March 12 meeting 28 minutes
* Andrew solicited a motion to approve the minutes
* Yaron Kashai made the motion to approve
* Joe Hupcey seconded the motion
* No objections were raised to the meeting 28 minutes were approved.
* Andrew asked for a substitute secretary for this meeting.  Yaron
    Kashai volunteered.

3. Status update
* 1647-2008 donations
  o Name Spaces -- (annex C) and encapsulation (sect 22)
    + Andrew and Joe Daniels are reviewing first draft feedback.
  o Method Ports
    + Andrew and Joe Daniels are reviewing first draft feedback.
    + Several people have reviewed the draft and others are committed to
        doing so.
  o Messaging
    + The first draft was sent out for review on March 30.
    + Ron Bow and Yaron are the only reviewers so far but others have
        indicated that they will be reviewing the document.
  o Constant Fields
    + The first draft was sent out for review last Friday, April 6.
    + So far, only Ron Bow and Mark Strickland have reviewed the changes
        but again other WG members have promised to review this.
  o Sequences
    + Andrew is reviewing Joe Daniels' current revision.
    + The first draft will be published for WG review next month.
  o Reflection API
    + Andrew is reviewing Joe Daniels' first draft.
    + The first draft will be published for WG review next month.
* Andrew asked reviewers to use "Draft 1.1" for the version number of
    issues files for initial draft documents.  He will specify which
    version to use in future review requests to avoid confusion.

4. Editor
* Joe Daniels calling in from a vacation stop in Kingman ...
* Posted issues are reviewed by Andrew, Joe Daniels and subcommittees.
    They need to be classified possibility iterated with the original
    submitter for clarification, acceptance or rejection.
* Joe brought this up because draft two documents will begin circulating
    for review next month and he wants everybody to be familiar with the
    issue tracking process.
* Precise identification of the document name, file name, page number
    and line number will minimize the number of iterations required
    between the reviewer and the editor.
* Joe asked if we are expecting additional reviewers for the circulating
    clauses.
* Andy said that about six people have agreed to review each clause.

5. Other business
* Toll-free dial-in number
  o For the U.K., during business hours, you will reach an operator who
      will connect you to MeetingPlace.  Off hours, press "#" after 3000
      to reach MeetingPlace.  This has not yet been confirmed but
      appears to be the proper dial-in procedure.
  o Dial-in from India works as published but MeetingPlace does not ask
      for the caller's name
  o Joe Daniels will report his dial-in procedure from Arizona that
      apparently deviates from the posted process.
* Andrew asked if there was any other business to discuss but there was
  none.

* Tentatively proposed May 7 at 9 am PDT (1600 UTC).  May 14-18 is a
  Cadence event.  May 21-22 are holidays.
