Membership

Participation in IEEE working groups is open to all. There are several levels of participation: voting member, member and observer:

• Voting Member — A voting member of the working group must complete each of the following steps:

  1. Complete the e Language Working Group registration form.

  2. Complete the Design Automation Standards Committee (DASC) membership application form and email, fax or post mail it, with your membership fee, to the specified location. The DASC, sponsor of this working group, requires that voting privileges are reserved to DASC members only.

  3. Meet the working group attendance requirements specified in the bylaws.

  4. Join the IEEE and the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) to vote on the draft standards created by this working group.

• Member — A non-voting member of the working group must simply complete the e language working group registration form. A non-voting member cannot vote in any working group business, nor on any draft standards.

• Observer — Observers are free to attend calls and participate in email discussion. However they cannot vote in any working group business, nor on any draft standards. Participants wishing to contribute to the discussion should consider enrolling as members.

IEEE membership is not required to participate as an observer, member or voting member of this working group.
